Blogging is a strange thing. The people we meet online, we rarely see in real life. My blog isn't a serious commentary on politics or the state of the world just a bit of fluff and a way to show off my grandbabies. I have been reading a blog for the last 3 or 4 years that has touched me in a way you wouldn't think possible on the internet. Deb's last post via her sister is so touching I have to share her assignments and send prayers to her family and adorable young daughter. I will miss reading the witty and touching writing of this person I never met.
I got to spend the weekend with Mrs Nut and family. We had a productive weekend working in the yard and sprucing up the toy area with an old dresser and dress up clothes from my attic.
Z Dog playing mahjong on the computer.
MD upset she didn't get chocolate milk for breakfast.
Papaya and Mango were flower girls last weekend. We were not sure Papaya would even walk down the aisle because she is pretty shy. Little did we know she would slam dunk the flowers and Mango would drop handfuls.
Over a month . . . well let's see what I have been doing. Let's start with music. I was able to see a wonderful ukulele player that plays amazing music, everything from traditional Hawaiian ukulele to hard rock. His name is Jake Shimabukuro and check out this youtube.
Also I went to a public radio station fund raiser and got to see Bill Kreutzmann, the drummer for the Grateful Dead and Michael Kang from String Cheese Incident.
And only in Hawaii will they have a fire dance after the concert.
It seems as if I am in the once a month posting mode lately. It isn't that my life isn't interesting, I just am not a writer. I have been taking a lot of photos though so I think I will at least start posting some of those. This is a photo of "the green flash" only seen where you have a clear view of a sunset over the ocean. The conditions have to be perfect, no haze or clouds on the horizon. There is a scientific explanation that you can find at The Bishop Museum web site but the easiest way I explain it is the yellow sun setting behind the blue water creates green. It really isn't a flash but more of a glow. These photos were taken by me and I am showing the sunset sequence. I cropped the last one to get a closer view.
